UP Caballeros joins Taal NHS in Brigada Eskwela 2014

The UP Caballeros took a stand in helping the Taal National Highschool in making the place more comfortable for the students. With the theme “Making our schools safer” several members went to Taal, Batangas last May 19-21.

The members together with the teachers, school’s staff, some students and volunteers gave their time and effort to ready the place for S.Y. 2014-2015. Together they work to aim a fine and safer place for the students. Walls and boards were repainted to make the place more satisfying. Scattered dried leaves and some garbage outside were cleaned up. The chairs were also arranged and dusted. Some of the members helped in making the learning environment more appropriate. They arranged the teaching materials and put some designs around it to make it more attractive for the students.

At the end of the day’s work, the experience was great. The teachers thanked us forthe time and effort exerted and the students’ smiles paid our hard work. Seeing the job accomplished is what made our day and seeing those students’ eagerness and effort to help in fixing their learning place made us and other volunteers feel that, somewhat oblige in making the learning place more comfortable for them to learn, safer for them to play and agreeable for them to stay.
